Where: Meeting at the Flagpole at AHS
Who can play?: Anyone! Get your own team going!/fun for the kids too!
Rules: Teams will meet at the AHS flagpole at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 31, 2010. Each team will enter the coordinates of the 10 locations for the Sandie Search into their GPS (or phone if it has a GPS unit). Teams will travel to the locations by following the coordinates. They will answer questions related to each location. (THIS IS NOT A RACE!) The team that gets the most questions correct will win. In case of a tie—a drawing will be held of all of the teams getting the most questions correct to determine a winner.
NEEDED: A GPS unit or phone with a GPS. You will need to be able to enter specific coordinates into your GPS. (A limited number of hand-held GPS units will be available for teams to use during the Sandie Search.)
Geopher Lite is a geocaching app available for iPhones which can be downloaded at the Apple iTunes Store. Cost $1.99 Download this app and practice entering coordinates and getting familiar with how to navigate back to that point.
Teams will return to AHS after the Sandie Search to turn in their questions. A winner will be announced at the Reunion Dinner and Dance at the Amarillo Country Club on Saturday evening.
