Lori Jo Scarbrough-Randell died Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 28 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by James Griffin. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage.Lori was born in Houston on May 5, 1962, to Lyla and Weldon Scarbrough. She moved to Amarillo in her early years. Lori was a fun, loving, and outgoing woman who knew how to make everyone feel like they were great friends, even if she just met you. She was a hard-working single mother of two children (Chris and Robin) and working up to three jobs plus attending college. Failure was not an option for Lori. She was very supportive of her children and very very proud.Lori was known as the “cool” mom. She loved live music, block parties, and rock ‘n roll. She was always asking her friends if she could ride on the back of their motorcycles. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, reading but she loved rooting on Dale Earnhardt and Earnhardt Jr. and of course, her local dirt track rooting on her favorite drivers.Lori was preceded in death by her parents.She is survived by her two children; Chris Scarbrough and his wife Joanna, and Robin Hendrix and her fiancé James Boyer, two granddaughters; Hayley Anders and Jordie Scarbrough, and her brother, Lary Scarbrough.
